Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Can I hire a bouncy castle on a rainy day?

A1. We can still deliver bouncy castles on rainy days. We have many units with rain covers - these must be used in rainy conditions, as bouncy castles can become slippery and hazardous without them. You must protect the inflator from becoming rain-damaged.

Q2. What should I do to prepare for your products?

A2. You should clear the area in which our inflatables will be sited so it is free of obstructions. This includes litter, sharp stones and dog mess, as well as anything else that could damage or dirty our products. You will be liable for any unnecessary repair or cleaning costs.

Q3. Can I hire a bouncy castle or inflatable for at an indoor venue?

A3. Yes, most of our inflatables are suitable for indoor use. We would need you to ask the venue for the ceiling height so that we can confirm if indoor hire is available on the bouncy castle or inflatable that you are interested in hiring. If you are still looking for a venue, please check out our venues page where we have listed several locations that accommodate bouncy castle hire.

Q4. Do I need an electricity supply?

A4. It is best to have an electricity supply near to the site of the castle. Generators are available when this is not possible. Please let us know if you need a generator before the date of the hire.

Q5. Do you have insurance?

A5. Yes, we have public liability insurance up to £5 million pound, which covers for any injury or accident which can be deemed our staff or our equipment's fault.

Q6. How many people can go on a bouncy castle at once?

A6. There are no hard-and-fast rules - the capacity of a bouncy castle depends on the size of the unit and the size of any users. All our bouncy castles have the guidelines for maximum users on the front of them. A good indication that a bouncy castle is too full is when people are colliding with each other.

Q7. What do I do if the fan / inflator breaks?

A7. In the extremely unlikely event of a fan breaking, please turn the power off, remove everyone from the bouncy castle and call us immediately and we will call within two hours with a new one.

Q8. Can I collect / remove / deliver the bouncy castle myself?

A8. Unfortunately we cannot allow customers to collect or remove our products by themselves. We must check that the area is clear and safe before we set up any of our inflatables. Then they need to be set up by a experienced person so that the item is put in a safe place and is securely anchored down.

Q9. Can I have a bouncy castle set up on a slope?

A9. You should not have any problems with a slight slope, If you have a steeper slope it will likely be too hazardous for a bouncy castle. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Q10. What time will you arrive?

A10. We deliver between 8:00am and 11:00am. If you have specific times to operate to we will arrange our bookings around you. We can’t always confirm times when you book as we will need to arrange our deliveries geographically.

Q11. How long can I keep bouncy castle for?

A11. This is up to you. You can have it for most of the day, we delivery in the morning between 8:00am and 11:00am and collect between 5:00pm and 7:00pm, or you can hire one for a couple of hours, perfect when using a venue or hall. We try our best to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs. We also offer an overnight service for an extra charge.

Q12. Where do you hire out and offer bouncy castle hire?

A12. Auckland castles hires out bouncy castles, rodeo bulls, total Wipeout, and many more inflatables across Durham, Bishop Auckland, Darlington and the rest of the north east.

Q13. How long will it take to set up and take away the bouncy castle or inflatable?

Tips on Safety

Children should be supervised at all times

  • Users should be directed away from the generator when it is in use
  • Remove footwear and wear socks
  • Don’t smoke near the equipment
  • Don’t allow too many people on the castle at any one time
  • No eating or drinking on the inflatables
  • No bouncing on the step
  • No climbing on the walls
  • No somersaults or anything that will endanger other users
  • Do not mix adults with small children on any inflatable

Using the Generator

The generator obviously carries it’s own hazards, including not only the risk of tripping over the equipment, but also carries the risk of electric shock and perhaps fire. For this purpose, it is advised that any supervision should take place close to the generator, making sure that the above safety tips are followed.

A Fire Extinguisher is available on request.

Our Insurance

The above safety tips and a pre–hire discussion on safety will hopefully ensure that the hire of the castle will be trouble free, but we are aware that accidents do happen. For this purpose we have purchased insurance covering inflatable & play equipment and public liability to the value of £5,000,000 (5 million pounds) through Albion Insurance Company Limited and was arranged by FML Insurance Services Limited who are based in Essex.

Pat testing

All our electrical items are PAT tested every 4 - 6 month. The PAT test certificate can be supplied upon request.

Inflatable tests

All our inflatables are Pippa tested and have been issued certificates. If the venue you are having your party asks for them or you would like to see them then please ask, they are also on the website and you can download them yourself. We had them tested right here in County Durham.
